New to DNN...

I am using 04.05.05 I am trying to find Page Editors role - it is referenced in the documentation on the dnn site, but I cannot ind anywhere that says how to enable it or assign it (it implies it is a normal role).

I presume that it still exists, I have searched here but found nothing else - how do I find it please!

Thanks

You assign the page editors role in the page settings. Log into the site as an administrator, and either navigate to the page you want to edit and from the Control Panel click on Settings; you can also go to Admin->Pages, select the page you wish to edit and click on Edit pencil to edit the page settings. Here are the Page Deteails. The Persmissions allows you  to identify which role(s) can view a page and which role(s) can edit this page. Select the role(s) you wish to be page editors and click update. Those role(s) will now be able to edit the page just as an admin can.

Yes, this terminology can be a bit confusing.

Page Editors and Module Editors aren't Security Roles as such, but rather terms that refer to any roles that have been set to have Edit Permissions on a particular page or module respectively. I think of these - as well as All Users and Unauthenticated Users as Virtual Roles.
