My portal www.lojadenegocios.com, www.portalwebmarketing and www.salmeirao.com are with bad performance. I my last post Do you believe that Dotnetnuke is a professional content management? I received many tips, but I prefer to discut about performance in another post.

My hosting www.re-invent.com sent me more info about the environment and they sad about problems with third party module, but I think it is not the problem, because they are not equal (module distribution).

Can you help me to discover what third party is the problem? Or the problem is my shared service server?

Hello,

One more suggestion as we examined your site during another time of day when there is little server activity and found on one of our systems that we needed to install QuickTime for your site to come up. You may want to see what you are bringing into the site on first load to cause any delays... Any third party site content, third party addons like QuickTime... We continue to see very little if any delay when visiting your site from outside ISPs and the server is running at a very low resource level.

72 hour graphs show average CPU usgae at under 20% and more than 1.3GB of RAM Available on average. Disk Array Activity has Paging /sec with a Average of 15 and Disk Queue with an Average under .750.

The hardware we use is Dual Opteron processors on both the web server and SQL 2005 database server. The Memory is 4GB of RAM and we use Dell Poweredge Servers. We utilize Raid 5 and Raid 10 SCSI Disk Arrays on all of our servers and we are also a Gold DotNetNuke Benefactor.

Since the posts are trending negative regarding our services we need to make it clear what we use and offer and that the issue is not with our services as far as we can determine after several investigations by Server Administrators.

I would tend to agree that it is a call to a third party site or the quick time thing.

Try this url, it is much faster for me:

I am also going to agree with John and your hosting provider.

I do not think it is related to the hardware that you are hosted on.  One thing I will say is that you page is quite large with the flash banner at the top etc.  Your homepage is almost 450 kilobytes in size (http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/wso.php is the tool that I used to test that)

I would look at the skin, as well as any third party modules you are using and any audio/visual content that is set to auto play.

I assume you have already configured compression and caching and that you are already using a keep alive service?

1) I have a small portal http://portal.salmeirao.com/jfquintadoanjo (same hosting) and It is not fast than I don't know if 450 kbytes is the problem.

2) Compression and caching DNN 4.5.5

Page State Persistence: PAGE
Module Caching Method: DISK
Performance Setting: MODERATE CACHING
Authenticated Cacheadbility: Serverandnocache
CopressionSetting: GZIPCopression
User Whitespace Filter: No

3) Yes, I work with keepaliveforever.com

Set Module Caching to Memory, and Authenticated Cacheability to Public or Private if you want better performance.
