Hello All,

When I build my website locally using VS2005 (ctrl F5) all is well. If I publish to a local or remote IIS Vdir using VS2005 and then connect to the site I get the following string in the address bar:

http://localhost/<my vdir>/Default.aspx?tabid=36&error=Could+not+find+a+part+of+the+path+'C%3a%5cInetpub%5cwwwroot%5<website dir>%5cApp_GlobalResources%5cLocales.xml'.&content=0

The following error is place on the main body of the page:

DonNetNuke Error:- Version 04.05.05 following by an exclamation mark in a red triangle.

Obviously the problem I have got is related to the way Visual Studio is deploying the site as the Locales.xml file does not exist in the location it is looking for it in.

Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards

why don't you simply copy the installation folder, read: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1293/Default.aspx

Thanks for the response Sebastian much appreciated.

I've tried deploying both locally and remotely using the publishing and the same problem presents itself. I could kind of see your point if I was just publishing to a remote machine but it still fails if I publish to the same machine I'm running Visual Studio on...

I've tried copying the website in it's entirety and placing in the IIS folder but it complains about not being compiled when you connect to the site.
