Admin Menu >> Site Settings

Under Site Setting > Basic >Site Marketing > Verification

As I understand it this feature will create an HTML file in the root folder which works fine for the parent portal.  PARENTPORTAL/

How would I achieve this verification for a subportal?  [PARENTPORTAL]/[CHILDPORTAL]

Also, is there any conflict of site ownership?  if multiple child portals try to verify using the [PARENTPORTAL] domain.

What address format would I register my subportal as with google?

You can't distinguish a child portal differently with Google since it is only a subfolder in the same domain.  In other words,as far as Google and most everyone else is concerned, it is the same website.
