I am trying to get a list of users in a specific role and I have done this via the Role Controllers GetUserRolesByRoleName(int portalId, string role) method.

However, this returns an array listing of UserRoleInfo objects and not UserInfo objects.  I need access to the users First Name, Last Name, Display Name, and Email address and not all of them are exposed via this interface.

Am I forced to then look each user up using the UserController and their user id which I can get from the GetUserRolesByRoleName method?  This doesn't sound like a good idea...

Hey Mitchel,

Ive battled with this issue myself recently - and yeah a GetUserInfoByRoleName( portalId, role) would be a cool idea.

But in reality, its not that big an effort to get the userinfo row by row - AND since this is how an internal DNN method would need
to work to properly hydrate each userinfo object - there is really no performance issues,.

The last time I needed to do this I found the following (in the RoleController class) to return an array list of UserInfo objects:

Public Function GetUsersByRoleName(ByVal PortalID As Integer, ByVal RoleName As String) As ArrayList
