Many thanks for the tutorial.  I used this to install DNN 4 on my laptop running Vista Business. However, post installation I seem to have a small problem, that being the speed at which the default page loads and also the time taken to login to the portal using the admin account.  The pages do eventually load but are much slower than would be expected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Ronan

hello,

I am using your tutorial to install DNN4 on a Vista Business machine and everything is going fine until step 9 - when I try to access the http:\\localhost\<alias> - I do not get the DNN install page but instead I get a normal error page.  Any suggestions would be very appreciated - I have been through the steps twice and end up the same way both times.

Much Thanks!

Hi,

was using the link you provided to install and was going great until I got to step two of the installation page "Configure Database Connection" - I entered the computer name and login/pass I setup in the SQL server 2005 db I created but when I hit the button to test the connection I got the below error.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 18452
Message: Login failed for user '<login name>'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

Thanks!
