I upgraded to 4.5.5 (though I don't know is this matters) and I tried to drop in the Events module and it displays the following:

Please update module settings...contact Portal Admin

When I tried to go to settings or do add event I get "An error has occurerd".

Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong?

Jon.

What is the complete error message in your Event Viewer (in the Admin menu)? Is it

Error: Edit Event is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unexpected end of file looking for tag.
(...)

If so, are you running DNN under Vista / IIS7? There seems to be an issue with DNN and Vista - see thread Error: Edit Event is currently unavailable. And, if you have Vista, do you get the same error message when trying to open the user accounts page? If so, then it seems to be more a core issue with IIS7.
