The beauty or ugliness of an open source product is dependent upon those that are willing to contribute to the cause.  If you don't want to rant, you're headed in the wrong direction.  poke around pitch in. make sense, tim?

But I am a C# programmer! OK I admit that this is a very weak excuse and that you are absolutely making sense.

I have basically not done more than try DNN out. I yet have to design my first skin and program my first module (or add multi-user postability to the Blog module). I also don't know how open source collaborations works. But yes, I am interested and if my knowledge in this fields should grow then I will try to get a glimpse on how to participate. I can't hear the Typo3 praises anymore. Also, I cannot accept that all forums look like phpBB. On the other hand... for the time being I wish this forum was a phpBB...

Regards
Tim

Hint:  your can change the name of the time zone settings to suit your purposes.  I changed the mountain time one that I used to indicate that it was the central daylight savings time zone.  Once daylight savings is over, I will go back to the original central time zone. works for me.

It's a host function.  under host>languages  under the "magic triangle" there is a "timezone editor"  find the timezone you require and change the name to whatever you desire.  (going for the poetic.)

I fixed it for my blog by simply adjusting to an incorrect Time Zone in the Blog Settings. Of course, in a future version this bug will probably be fixed and ll the post postings will have an offset again.

I am using this Blog just for fun and since I am an ASP.Net programmer. For anybody else, who is not using out of curiosity like me, I cannot recommend the Blog and not the DNN framework at all. There are some great concepts, but no solutions.

Take this forum and it's search capabilities for example. Unprofessional. Install the Blog module and try to give multiple users posting permission for one blog. Impossible.

Just my two cents and sorry if this sounds like a rant, of course I am using it for free and there is nothing to rant about. I just think DNN still has a long way to go.

I am having the same issue on the time.  It is lame to have to put in Canadian -4 time when we are -5 EST.  The forum module and the rest of DNN has no issue with this.  I hope this is a filed bug.  As for the blog not being able to be set up of multiple users??  I am doing it.  You just give edit permission to registered users in the new blog piece of the blog module.  Seems to work and they are only allowed to mess with their own blog.

It is a known bug indeed and we are working to fix this in the next version.
