My DNN site experiences very slow loading whenever the cache has timed out and I wanted to change this so I downloaded the free PageBlaster addon and installed it (copying the dll to /bin and edited the web.config). As I understand PageBlaster will only speed up loadingtimes as long as the site is accessed now and then with http requests. My site have very sporadic traffic to it and therefore it seems the blaster doesn't help me much at all, the site is still slow to access if I only do it now and then.

I then read that it's a good idea to have a server periodically access the site to keep it alive and cached properly, but I didn't want to pay any money for this service so I tried to find some free alternatives. I did find an application called "DNN keep alive" that I installed on my webserver (and inserted the url to the keepalive.aspx file) but It doesn't seem to work as intended as the loading continues to be slow the first time.

Are there any other similar alternatives, like any free webservices that can do the same for me ? I found several sites but they all either only had a free 30 day trial or costed money from day one.

I need advice on a program or service that can help me keep my site alive and is completely free.

Try pointing your Keep alive service to your home page, and see if that works better.
