I finally got DNN4.5.5 installed on my server.

SBS2003, Sql Server Express 2005 (installed locally now).... I run through the wizard and the site successfully installs.

However, after using it for about 30 minutes, the site disappears and when I try to access it, I get Page Not Found errors.

I followed the install instructions to the best of my ability but it just doesn't answer all of my questions....  I created the db DotNetNuke in SQLExpress.  Created a user "dotnetnuke", added him as db_owner.

When I got to the screen to test the db connection, I tried using the username and pass I created, and it didn't work... so I checked off integrated connection and it connected.

I'm wondering what I might be missing.  I really love DNN, but the install instructions seem incomplete to me, and the web.config section (based on every search I've done) is apparently the most confusing file in the world.   No one seems to be able to get the connection string right.

I just cleared the virtual directory, and database, and it seems (at the moment) that it's working.  I am getting odd errors with the repository, when I try to upload files though.

Here's a snippet from my web.config settings... if someone could verify them for me that'd be great.

<connectionStrings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express -->
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005
    <add
      name="SiteSqlServer"
      connectionString="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=dotnetnuke;pwd=fender1f;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
   -->
  </connectionStrings>
  <appSettings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" />
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=dotnetnuke;pwd=fender1f;"/>
    -->
..................

My setup is SBS2003, with SQL Express 2005.  I did have some things that relied on MSDE before I upgraded to SQL Express 2005 (SBS Monitoring and Reporting, as well as my Symantec Backup Exec).

When I run "net start" to check my services I see the following SQL related lines :
MSSQL$BKUPEXEC
MSSQL$SBSMONITORING
MSSQL$SHAREPOINT
SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)
SQL SERVER 2005 EMBEDDED EDITION (MICROSOFT##SSEE)
SQL SERVER BROWSER
SQL SERVER VSS WRITER
SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING

I'm going to be using DNN for a company intranet, and I need to deploy it soon.  I'm still in the test phases.  Is it possible that these other SQL instances are causing the problem?  Any suggestions are appreciated.
