I can get the Webstarter Kit to make a VB module, but if I try to make a C# module and include the

<codeSubDirectories>
    <add directoryName="Module" />
</codeSubDirectories>

in the web.config, VWD Express won't build the site. I get this error

Message 1 Could not find schema information for the element 'compilers'. C:\inetpub\DotNetNuke\web.config 53 6 C:\inetpub\DotNetNuke\

What do I need to add to the web.config file to get this to compile? I'm new to this, I see VB defined in a few places. I tried adding a <compiler> node for C# but it didn't work. I saw someone say something about machine.config, do I need to edit that file?

It appears there is an error with your web.config. Perhaps an unclosed tag.

If figured out the error, I hadn't scrolled all the way down in VWD Express..

It looks like the c# template has a mistake.

in SqlDataProvider.cs line 71 it uses a VB "If" statement instead of a cs "if" statement

on line 73 there is a vb comment

Instead of this

If (_connectionString.Length == 0)

{

' Use connection string specified in provider

_connectionString = objProvider.Attributes[

}

it should be changed to this:

{

if (_connectionString.Length == 0)// Use connection string specified in provider

_connectionString = objProvider.Attributes[

}

I haven't run the code yet so I don't know if there are any other problems but it compiles

"connectionString"];
"connectionString"];
