Hi,

The Redirect after Logout feature under User Accounts > User Settings has never worked and results in a very poor user experience and errors/support calls. Basically, if a user is viewing any page/module that relies on querystring params (all the Smart-Thinker modules do, and many others) then the page will throw an error or fall over if they happen to logout whilst viewing it. Depending on how the error handling in the viewed module is done, the user will either see an error message or at best a vaguely user-friendly message informing them that passed in querystring vars are missing. This is terrible for the user experience and I've seen it result in support calls where the user believes the module is not working.

A simple solution is to always redirect them to the home page (or other) after logout, bu tthe setting has never worked - this has been raised numerous times in the last year -

I don't think the bug fix would be massive relative to other DNN bugs, and it will vastly improve the user experience - can anyone comment on this please - the previous posts have all been unanswered.

This has apparently been fixed in DNN 4.5.5 - can anyone confirm this please?

Ok, I have now tested this on 4.6.0 and it does NOT work - ie. I set the Logout setting and when I log out it remains on the page I was on, which means all the problems mentioned above still exist.

Alex - do you know if this has come up in Gemini at all?
