Hi,

Have downloaded the source of the repository/dashboard module with the intention to make some changes to the code to better fit our env, but can't get my head around how the code works.

I find the dashboard in two places:

-Desktopmodules/Dashboard/RepositoryDashboard.ascx

-Desktopmodules/Resository/RepositoryDashboard.ascx

It seems like the former instance is the one that displayes on the webpage, but the question is which codebehind file that it draws on. When compiling it, there is an error saying that it is missing: File 'RepositoryDashboard.ascx.vb was not found.'

When making changes to 'RepositoryDashboard.ascx.vb in the later instance there is no change to the webpage.

I would very much appreciate if anyone could provide some clarifications to help me to get on.

/carl

The Repository is a .net 1.1 assembly and requires a running version of DotNetNuke 3.3.X or later, and Visual Studio 2003 in order to make any code changes.

Basically, to make changes...
1. Install the source version in a DNN 3.3.X or later working web site
2. open the DotNetNuke.Repository.sln solution file with VS 2003
3. make your code changes, test
4. do a final compile in Release mode
5. exit VS2003, run the Nant .build file
6. In the packages folder you'll see new packages for install and source

You can then install your new 'Install' pacakge on any DotNetNuke web site include 4.3.X or greater
