Hello,

I have setup DNN 4.5.5 and I encounter a problem which I do not manage to solve.

I constantly have a message "You don't have permission to see the files on the site" on all URLControl. The problem would not be awkward if I could simply apply the rights of visiblity from the Files page of Site menu, but the permissions grid does not appear. In addition, this error appears even if i'm connected with Host account.

aspnet_regiis and reapplying permissions from Windows system doens't change anything.

Did somebody already encounter this problem and is capable to solve it?

Thank you for your help

Sébastien

I met the same problem today . I guess this raise from the file permission settings . Below is how I solved this problem.

1:Log in using host(or site administrator) ,click "admin - file manager".
2:Check on "Recursive" then click "Synchronize Files ".
3:Under" Folder Security Settings" , uncheck "view folder"permission to "All Users",then click update.
4:Now this should be ok now. try to visit site settings to verify it.
5:Check back the "view folder"permission to "All Users" under the "Folder Security Settings" in "Admin - File Manager".

Above steps do nothing else except let the application refresh the file permission settings. So the problem should be solved.
This solution works in my two dnn 455 sites. Wish it can help.

Hello,

The fact are than I don't have any Permission Grid in here. Please look at this screenShot.
Screen Dnn 4.5.5 - No permission Grid

Table dbo.Dnn_Folders

Table dbo.dnn_FolderPermission

Table dbo.dnn_Permissions

If you look at this last screenShot, you should remarks that the rows

5 SYSTEM_FOLDER -1 READ View Folder
6 SYSTEM_FOLDER -1 WRITE Write to Folder

doesn't exists. I don't really know what's happened, but it could be fine to check than the permissions exists while loading the control.

Yes i've solved this, if your read my precedent post, you will found the answer.

In fact, i've reproduced the same install, and it seems that a module which creates custom permission at install block the creation of this two permission.
