Hi

I have set up a DNN-site, which runs fine, but I need to access some data I have on a remote share and I cannot get DNN to connect to the share when needing to access the data.

I want to access the data via a UNC-path to the share, but no matter what I try, I can't seem to get it to connect.

I have tried setting up the application pool in IIS 6 to run the site under a different username (with the same credentials as the remote share expects), and even though I added full permissions to the DNN folder for that user, I can't seem to get the site to work. Just getting "Service Unavailable" and when I refresh the IIS managing tool after trying to access the site, I see that the application pool have stopped again.

I have also tried setting up <identity impersonate="true"> with the proper login credentials in the web.config-file, but that doesn't work either. Then it complains about getting permission denied on some of the DNN-dlls.

Is there some way to add the share to the web.config directly, or something like that, so I can run the site using its default "Network Services" user and still access the remote share with the right credentials?

Any help is appreciated.
