Hi,

I am having the same issue.
VS automatically puts the file under App_Code and I tried to reference it in many different ways but still getting parse error.
I am actually working in a different virtual directory under DesktopModules and it has a separate App_Code which I don't think is the issue.

I need this service for AJAX cascadingdropdown but for some reason in page level it doesn't work (Actually I know why) so I tried to run it in a webservice but I can't manage it out...

You need to have a file named "Service.asmx.cs" in a directory located under the App_Directory (it cannot be in the app_code directory). This folder must have an entry in the web.config that indicates that it is to be compiled separately (because the main DotNetNuke project is a Visual Basic project). There is an example in the web.config for this. Also see: IWeb
