[This issue is in a GoDaddy shared hosting environment...]

I'm trying to move a DNN install to a new shared hosting location. It works fine in the old location, but I need to cancel that hosting plan and.move my DNN install to a different hosting plan. Both shared hosting plans are with GoDaddy the original DNN install was a manual one (not through Metropolis).

This is what I did:
-Setup my alias domain, let's call it "targetdomain.com" to point to a sobfolder of my root, let's call it "dotnetnuke".
-Setup ALL appropriate folders with the same permissions as the source web hosting folders.
-Created a new SQL db on the target web space and restored it with a backup from the source web space.
-I made sure the Portal ID "0" has the alias set for targetdomain.com.
-Moved all files/folders from source web space to a subfolder of dotnetnuke folder which has ALL permissions applied to it, so it should eliminate any permissions issues.
-Using an FTP program (Filezilla), I then moved this folder up one level to be in the dotnetnuke folder root (not my site root).
-Modified web.config to point to the new database, etc.

Some other config info:
-My domain alias, targetdomain.com, has DNS pointers for "@" and "www" to point to the IP address of my root hosting plan.
-In my GoDaddy control panel, in the Domain Management sectio, I added the domain targetdomain.com, and set it to point to the dotnetnuke folder.

When I try to browse to the site at http://targetdomain.com, I get the following error in Firefox:
"The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Is this a redirection loop problem?
Any idea how to fix this?

I cannot access my site, even be entering a URL of http://www.rootdomain.com/dotnetnuke/default.aspx.

I'm working on a project like this as well. Setting up a dev install on my home machine. When I go to the local installation I'm redirected to the live install.

So far I haven't fixed it. Seems like it has something to do with the PortalAlias table in the database. Probably more than that as well though.
