Hi, I am trying to deploy my DNN project.

I am coming accross to many problems.

I am using .NET 2005.  First I tried to deploy the site using "Publish Web Site" and create a precompiled project. But it did not precompile GlobalResources folder. As far as I searched I found and read from forums, I understood that because of a problem in DNN, we could not do it in that way.. Is that so??

So i decided to deploy all source (which is too bad..), in this forum I was told to do it that way...  And I did that in that way, no other choice.. :(

Now I am trying to login to site I deployed. And can not login. I think it is because of machine keys in web.config. What should I do?

I developed that project in a computer running Windows XP, and I want to deploy the project in a computer using Windows 2003.

What should I do?

First of all you are correct that DNN cannot be pre-compiled at the core, this is due to the global resources just as you mentioned.

I personally have not really noticed all that big of an issue with deploying the source code for DNN, but that is just my opinion.

As for your deployment, when you sent the files and database out to the new location were you sure to keep your machinekey values from your local installation?
