Hi Primoz,

Thank you once again!  I did not see that the "Filter" text was a link.  I have 2 more related questions though (I did search the manual this time :) ).  I would love for my IndooGrid module to default to filtering on 5 columns to begin with.  Is there anyway of setting this, so my end users don't have to click on "Filter" 4 times?  I figured out the URL parameters, and was able to create URL that loads the page with the 5 filters, but this would require me to have to set this DNN tab as an external link, and put in this URL, which I believe may cause other problems.

Also, 3 of the 5 columns only have several possible values, could Indoo Grid be configured (or enhanced) to provide a drop down box for the filtering "by" value (perhaps generated from a SQL Select statement behind it) instead of just using a text box?  For example, I'm using Indoo Grid to filter/search the DNN Events module, and one of the columns is Location.  There are only 2 Locations setup in the DNN core Events module now, so it would be great if the filter "by" value was a drop down box of just those to location values.

You can see what I'm talking about with the below 2 links.

Thank you so much for your time and help.
Kind Regards,
Jon

Hi Jon,

in latest version of the module you have additional option to filter records:

dropdownlist based on manually entered list or related to another table to pull data (your second requirement)

disable, enable, textbox options where texbox for example filter for one field only is displayed (your first requirement) - let's say you call it Search all field and but can define for this field additional columns to search - see SQL Reporting demo on our pages

lp, Peter
