Hi,

I am very new to DNN.

I have set up my site (without any problems), and purchased Catalook.

In the Catalook instructions it tells me I need to upload templates into the Host Root Folder.

I mistakenly unploaded the files into the Portal Root folder (from the Admin menu > File Manager), rather than the Host Root folder (from the Host Menu > File Manager).

So I then went to the correct place (Host Menu > Host Root folder) and tried to Upload the templates. However I get the following error:

Error: Upload File is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.FileSystem.WebUpload.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have no idea how to fix this, and I am not sure if this has anything to do with the fact I had previously uploaded the templates to the wrong location.

Can anybody help?

Thank you,

Graham

Graham,

please use CataLook support forums for module specific support.  you can upload files using ftp or remote desktop as well, if you subsequently call sycronize files recursive in FIle Manager.

Hello again,

I have tried the CataLook forums, but they are rubbish! I'm getting either "Permission Denied" or "Timeout" for every page I try, and it is getting very frustrating.

The files are currently on my local machine. You say I can ftp the files - which folder do I need to ftp / copy them to?

I have searched for a folder called "Host Root", but it does not exist within my DNN root directory. Or is that the problem?

Thanks again,

Graham

look for a folder, that contains a web.config file or contact your hosting provider, how to install an ASP.Net 2.0 installation at your account.
