Hey guys!

Sorry, I am very new to DNN, so please bear with me!

Im very new to DNN and Xmod, so again, sorry if Im slow, or if I am asking obvious questions!

User area.

I want to create some sort of page for my users to make their own. I want them to be able to display certain information that they can choose to share, as well as upload photos/videos, and have an option to make this 'profile' public or private.

It only needs to be pretty basic, such as a timer (its for diving, so the time would be time under water), maybe a google map with pins where they have dived, and a few other little things. I was thinking if I could add those fields into the User Profile section of DNN itself, then I could just display them with a form view or something? But I really am not sure.....

So, Im not sure how to create such a page, secondly, Im not sure how to create a form that actually allows uploads such as pictures and video to the server! The media module requires you to click edit module, then select a file, or upload a file, but if I can Id rather have it a default upload file option that is displayed, is that possible?

Thanks so much guys!

Hi,

Sounds like a cool idea for a site.  Check out www.dnnfusion.com for the MyProfiles module.

That is a start but wont give you 100% of what you're looking for.

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!

I am looking for the same sort of functionality. I want teachers in a school district to be able to manage their own homepages using an online editor. I've searched high and low, and can't find this in an open source or commercial software package. SchoolCenter does some of what I'm looking for.
