I've hosted my site www.avalonbeadstore.com with Webhost4life for 5 months now and have had numerous occasions of long term downtime, especially during peak hours of the day when our business is booming. We've lost plenty of money due to this repeated downtime and after several attempts with their support to iron out the problem (which they said EVERY time was due to someone abusing server resources) we are at our wits end. It's a lot of work to research new hosting companies, select one with everything you need, and move your site, but at this point we are willing to do the work. After emailing the CEO very cordially but sternly about this problem, we have received no response but from support saying "Oh, the site is fine. It's up and running." WELL WHAT ABOUT THE HOURS OF DOWNTIME EVERY OTHER DAY?!! The point is these people really don't care whether your site is up or not. There's only so many "No response from server" errors you can get before you have to make a decision to change hosts. We're not looking forward to this.

Bottom line... Don't bother with Webhost4life. It's NOT a lifelong relationship.

I have been using a hosting company for years -- since dnn 2 and I cant say enough about them. I have not had any downtime in over 4 years with them. They are more costly than your typical hoster but well worth it

If it is important your website stay up and running and you want the least amount of trouble transferring your site, then I'd go with www.powerdnn.com.

They are specifically setup for DotNetNuke.  You can email them prior to signing up to find out just what you need to transfer.

Good luck.

I have been using WH4L and have not had the same problems. I am worried your issues could come knocking at my doors soon. I like 1and1.com, but their standard DB size is only 200 megs : (

I agree with phixate, wh4l has a bad service, at least for us, the downtime is HUGE, even if one tries to ''keepalive' the server the actual problem is their servers. Another problem is transfer speed. ok i have the cheapest hosting, but i didn't expect to get the same performance as my old server with a 512k 1:50 ADSL line. Hope they improve in the future, but i'm out. Found a new host on my country, and it seams better. if it works out with them i'll post them here.
