you cannot create same tabIDs, therefore you might need to tweak the tab references as well

Sebastien,

I don't know what kind of 'tweak' is involved?  Are there other tables which must be consistent with the TabID's?  Do the TabID's have to be from a defined range, or just unique within the table?

Sebastien,

I figured it out, reentered a TABS record which gets a new 'TabID', then recreated the records in the TabModules and TabPermission tables, and I can now access a Host File Manager.  I'll proceed to do the same with Host Settings and Vendors and let you know how I get on.

Thanks for your help.

Sebastien,

OOPS.  Getting it helped a lot. I decided the delete was a little too comprehensive in scrapping all three table entries so I got the developers to look at a custom module and they found a bug.  It was deleting the pages.  All three are now restored, the bug is fixed, and I feel a bit silly using your valuable time.  I'm gradually coming to the conclusion that if something happens to me that is not already in the Forums/Errors sections of this site then it is unlikely I've discovered something the rest of the world don' know about.  Its probably something unique I've done.

Thanks again for your help.  I owe you a pint.
