Had problems with upgrade, so decided to try new install on a development server.  Using vs2008 (target .net2.0) published the website to IIS5.5 (tried using locall server too).  Selected all modules during InstallWizard. Keep getting the following compile error.......

Compiler Error Message: BC30560: 'DataProvider' is ambiguous in the namespace 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Survey'.

I'm going to delete and rebuild the empty SQL2000 database so I can re-run the InstallWizard.  This time not selecting Survey module.  In the meantime, does anybody know how to resolve the namespace issue with the Survery module?

Thanks!

manually remove DotNetNuke.Module.Survey.dll and DotNetNuke.Module.Survey.SqlDataProvider.dll from /bin folder.

I really would like to know if this was the problem. DotNetNuke.Module.Survey.dll and DotNetNuke.Module.Survey.SqlDataProvider.dll should not be in the /bin folder. I am wondering how did they get there?

Michael,

they might have been marked to be in use during upgrade, so the upgrade procedure was unable to delete them.
