I've been trying to reduce the time that it takes for my initial page to load. I am slowly getting the overall size down. I have just removed the Default.css file and replaced it with an empty file, which knocks off 17869 bytes from the initial download.

The one thing that I would like to tackle is the entry for Http://www........./ScriptResource.axd?d=IDLGWw5X...... which is 23423 bytes. I have been trying to find out what this is, and I have seen a few posts that might point to it being relating to AJAX. However, I do not believe that my pages are using AJAX. It is the largest element of the page.

Does anyone know how I can remove this item?

I've been using http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze to analyze the page. So far I have halved the overall page size, but still need to get it down further. It still takes over 12 seconds on a T1 connection, and I am finding from my google stats that over half of my paid for click visitors are leaving before the page is fully downloaded.

I am currently running on DNN version 04.05.05.
