Having scouted around for a while and found how to configure my Search Results page, I notince that I don't have any Search Results module (or any other Search modules for that matter) and my existing Search Results page is empty.

The dbo_modules table in my DB also does not list any search modules (where as a clean DNN install does).

Help! How can I restore my Search modules without the obvious (but no-longer available) reinstall option of DNN. Obviously somewhere along the way I've deleted them without thinking, but the site has gone live today wihtout search, which is not good!

DNN 4.5

Thanks,

Jason.

Is the search bar on the site?

if there is no page (even not in the recycle bin) with the Search results on it, you can create a new (hidden) page, and place the module on it. done.

Firstly some answers:

1/ Yes I have the search bar.

2/ I can't add the search modules because they don't appear in my module list.

That, is the problem!

Is there a way of re-adding the Search module (I suspect that it has not 'gone' but more likely just doesn't appear on the list - I've looked in the Module tables in the DB and there is no mention of the Search modules, in fact there is a nice gap in the UID columns just where it should be. I've also had a go at re-creating the DB entries manually using a fresh DB as a reference with limited success (Search now appears on the module list but still won't let me add it to a page)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Jason.
