I'm not sure where the module will put this reply, or if it'll be attached to all the messages...I hope so.

First of all, let me appologize.  One of my pet peeves is when someone shows up in a community, dumps a question and then disappears into the bowels of darkness...I've become what I hate.  I won't bore you with excuses, so, read on....

FIRST:
giga321, I didn't know if you were answering me or lkozmon.  I tried your answer first, no luck....not sure if I did it incorrectly, but same problem...

SECOND:
yes, lkozmon, my StarterKit.vsi placed my template in the ..\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ItemTemplates\Visual Web Developer\  spookey, hunh?

THIRD:
imgOfflinesharpener, your sharp as a tack.  I overlooked that small detail and sure enough, when I clicked on VB, quess what appeared?  Thank you ever so much!  Were I B. Gates, I'd give you a new Shelby Mustang, unfortunately, I make quite a few figures less so you'll have to settle for my undying gratitude.

FOURTH:
cathal, thanks for your concern...I don't doubt I did something stupid along the way.  FYI - though, I used your location:  "C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic\Web" and placed the DotNetNuke.zip there, and then started a new web project and, low and behold, I see two references to the DNN template...I'd put the DotNetNuke.zip in another location previosly and had not seen it, so VS does care about where it goes, but obviously it can go a couple of places...

Thanks again to all of you, now I get to ignore work I get paid for and lose sleep on pro-bono stuff
