Hi, my company has been using dotnetnuke as their web portal for the past 1 year. We started with 4.0.3 then upgraded until 4.5.1 which we have been using without problems until very recently.

Recently, the web server that hosts our dotnetnuke web portal has been experiencing hangs. Upon checking the event viewer we found the following events,

ISAPI 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' reported itself as unhealthy for the following reason: 'Deadlock detected'.

and

A process serving application pool 'PortalAppPool' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '5712'.

This has led me to believe that the web portal is causing these problems.

My question is, can anyone pls provide suggestions on how I might debug this problem or suggestions on how I can tune my server to overcome these problems?

I don't think this is a problem with a rogue module because there are no exceptions in the dotnetnuke event viewer and the detailed site log shows that users were not accessing any pages with custom dotnetnuke modules.

Any feedback to solve this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
