I am looking for good product inventory module for .net nuke.

The functions are

-  ability to add custom attributes

- ability to search and sort from custom attributes

- xml output ability (probably the built in RSS)

- no shopping cart required

I have looked at the sdn store, after I have installed it, and when I add the module to the page, it gives me a strange hexadecimal error. I am using a 4.54 version of .net module. This kind of functionality should be common, I am very suprised by the lack of quality module around. Many modules I have serached looks very unrealiable to me.

benoityip,

Our shopping cart is very close to what you're after.  Removin shopping cart function is 30 seconds job. You can search by product type which is a group of custom fields.  Please have a look at our demo site: demo.alicommerce.com

thanks,

Frank

hi i am looking for the same thing currently do you know of any modules you can use on a site to display products/images with info then a click through to more details....that sets up the details automatically. It would work like a catalogue with details page or the SDN cart but without the buying options etc ..? Im also finding DNN doesnt do this and the SDN cart we use is a bit much with all the functionality.....Let me know if you find anything....thanks

im searching now so ill let you know

I had a similiar requirement recently, not quite all of the requirements you have, but I ended up using the repository module and writing a custom template for it. It's basically just a product viewer.

You can view it here: Mylec Products

I never gave the Repository module a fair shot until I did this. Made me look at it very differently.

I would suggest the estate agent from ventrian

http://www.ventrian.com/Products/Modules/PropertyAgent.aspx

from the site:

  • Define your own property templates using our custom field, layout file and layout settings editor. Then share it with your friends! Sample types might be cars, boats, real estate, etc.
  • Hosting Support allows host administrators to define templates and grant granular access to those templates for a select number of portals.
  • Image Support allows you to define a maximum width + height for all images uploaded and dynamically resizes them to save space.
  • Property Workflow allows property to pass through a variety of stages from not published to expired.
  • Advanced Custom Field Support allows you to define properties consisting of field elements such as "One Line TextBox", "Multi Line TextBox", "Rich Text Box", "DropDownList", "CheckBox", "Multi CheckBox" and "Radio Button List".
  • Advanced Custom Field Searching allows you to mark custom fields as searchable allowing ultimate flexibility!
  • Advanced Custom Field Sorting allows you to dynamically sort on a custom field in the property manager.
