Frank,

I agree with most of the discussion that has occured in this thread and thought I would add my two cents.

First of all I am just now starting to review/test the module and I have to say I am impressed so far.

For myself I find that I need a good store module for myself and my customers with the following features the most often

-Easy Administration
-Easy payment integration
-Minimal number of products (typcially less than 50)
-Minimal price

My clients and myself personally are not selling expensive products, but we need ways of getting these products on the internet in an easy to manage method.  A module in the $75-$150 range would be good for almost all of my clients.  The biggest thing with some of the "better" ones out there now is that they are just too expensive.  A $300+ module is something that would take my clients quite a while to get their money back on as their markup on their products is quite low.

I find that the modules that are currently out there in the $75-150 price range are ones that are NOT easy to use and require a very steep learning curve, even for experienced DNN users  I would say that this is the place where your module really will shine.  It is MUCH easier to use and that will be huge with your bringing to market of this product...

My only true advice is to try and keep the price resonable, or at minimum create a low cost option for those of us with smaller stores!

What you wrote is close to what we are discussing.  thank you for your input.

Frank

Armand,

AliCommerce supports  PayPal Express Checkout,  Authorize.NET,  eWay,  WorldPay,  PSIGate and Protx  at the moment.   We will upgrade the demo site to beta 2 and make admin settings accessible to public soon.  if you're interested in beta testing, please send us an non-free email address,  your full name and your company name, and we will send you the latest install packages. I'm sure you will be impressed. It's about not only simplicity, but also flexibility if you dig deep enough after you have access to settings section.

thanks a lot,

Frank

Hey Frank,

As a developer I have been looking for an e-commerce product I can offer to my customer, I have a broad range of client from corporate to Mom and Pop who just want to make a sale.  I have been looking for a DNN compatible solution for quite some time now and like what I see in your product.

Last year I had a client who needed a store front ASAP and they choose to use a non DNN product and paid $5000 for it and today it still does not work for them, they wrote that off and purchased a store from Lexicon. Needless to say I lost the client as soon as I was not able to provide them with what they needed. I just met with a new client that wants an e-commerce website for selling calendars, this is a Mom & Pop with a very low profit based item and limited to 3 months in sales, they need an affordable solution.

My suggestion for price range would be a tiered price scheduled based off of features. Make the base store affordable then charge for feature enrichment, this would provide the Mom & Pop websites a basic store and the larger corporations would pay for the added features.

That just my 2 cents on pricing, speaking of my 2 cents… a feature my client has requested is that when items are selected that the buyer can add a ship to and special note for each item being purchased. Is this something you can do?
