I have a site with DNN 3.0.3. This site expose a weird behaviour where some container refuse to work in live mode but work in admin mode. After 2 weeks figthing this, I decide to install a new version, the version I'm using in my dev machine.

So I get 3.1.1 and upgrade the site. That was fine. But the same problem appear. So we do a fresh install and copy everything manually... now all is working rigth.

My last work is import 100 registered users to the new portal. I do that but the user are not showing in the users page from admin, but are all in the database

I do this:

1- Copy the keys in web.config
from the 3.0.3 to 3.1.1 about encryption, so the pawssword get validated. This work fine because I test it  in the upgrade attemp.

2- Study the user database (what a mess, 7 tables?). Copy to a local database the site, figure out the insertion orden and delete from the insert list the admin and host users. I generate the insert with a tool for that

3- Look at the APP GUID and replace it to match

4- Look at the User Group Id and replace it to match

5- Import all, Zero script error

6- Go to the admin, but the users not show up :(

The worst is that the site MUST be online this weekend... any hint? Any info in how grasp the most complicated user schema ever invented for a simple CMS in earth (please turn on your sarcams detector. Thanks!!!)

Seriously, how the whole thing work? i read the code but I don't make sense of it, is full of indirections and coordinations among classes and not exist one store procedure or view usefull for get the necesary information...
