After upgrading to 4.6.0 then to 4.6.2 it appears that users when logged in can view/edit profile properties that are set to Required but not Visible. I need to have properties that are managed my Admins only, users should not be able to edit them if they are not set to visible.

It appears that making the property Required is overriding the Visible setting.

Also, in managing profile properties, Checking Required but not Visible does not work. The site automatically checks Visible if Required is checked.

Please help!

if you are not providing a default value, visibility needs to be ignored for required profile properties.

Okay, I am and was already providing a default value with no validation expression and still no luck.

But I was not aware that providing a default value "should" allow for Required but not visible profile properties.

Thanks for the quick response.
