I have been trying for two days to do something that should only take two seconds to do. I'm trying to change the background-color of the page.

I have modified portal.css, default.css under _defaults. I have even tried modifiying default.aspx directly which actually works for a split second and then switches back to white.

I've also tried several other places and suggestions from posts that I have found on this site as well as other sites on google. Nothing has worked.

Any help on this would greatly be appreciated. I can't believe that changing a background color has to be so difficult.

I have also tried changing different sections of different css files (not just the background-color), but none of my changes are visible. I also cleared my cache and exited IE7, just to make sure that wasn't an issue.

I actually figured this out late last night.

I modified .pagemaster in Portals/_default/DNN-Blue/skin.css
