Hi all,

I am having some issues with displaying the proper text style and the FCK editor.

Here is my issue:

i) In the text editor, I can set up the format and it looks fine in preview.  After the update, the format will distort and will follow the skin's CSS style.  Is there anyway that I can override the skin's style and following the style the text editor?

Hi Cliff, i'm having a similar issue, as in the style of the cfkeditor is overwritten by the style of my skin...

Did you find a fix?

Thomas

You need to include all the styles you are using when your text is shown in the page. The FCKeditor loads in an IFRAME so the provider needs to allow the editor to load the styles in the page.

The provider includes some options to allow the administrator to configure how to handle styles

Static: The editor will load the styles based on the fckstyles.xml and fck_editorarea.css. So you need to include the same styles in your skin for DNN to show the same as in the editor

Dynamic: Editor will load all the styles from the page where the module being edited is located default.css, skin.css, portal..css, etc). This is the suggested way of working because all the DNN styles will be available when editing in an automaticaly way.

URL: This is similar to the static but the difference is that you can specify a .xm and .css file from your portal file system.

probably, the 4.8.4 FCKeditor provider default is set as static, but now the 4.9.0 default is set as dynamic, so we all need to set it back to static before you start modify our style list.

i just tried, put static and apply, but that's another problem that although i edit the fckstyle in the fckprovider folder ~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\fckstyle.xml, that's nothing change in the style list.

When i use URL setting, copy a set xml and css to Root folder and select xml file and css file in the URL controller, it work exactly the same.

in this case of the static part, is it changed default location of the xml file?? or any bug? coz i already check the all config.js files, the default location is same as 4.8.4. whatever i edit the ~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\fckstyle.xml, no changes happening. and also the css file in ~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\editor\css\...

Thank you for the hints =)
