Is it possible to add a link to another module within the same page.  For ex. I want to add links to jump to different sections (different modules) on the same page of my site, but my only options seem to be: a file, an existing URL, or another page.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sarah

You sure can! There's really only a few issues: (1) modules aren't rendered with anchors, so you'll have to add them; (2) you'll have to know the exact URL of the page (dynamic querystring parameters won't work); and, (3) tracking won't work. As long as you can live with those things, here ya go...
  1. Go to module settings for target module
  2. Expand Module Settings > Advanced Settings
  3. Set Header property to <a name="SomeModuleIdentifier"></a>
  4. Click Update
  5. Copy the URL for the page you're on into your clipboard
  6. Add a new link to your Links module
  7. Paste the copied URL into the Link textbox
  8. Append #SomeModuleIdentifier to the URL
  9. Uncheck the Track Number Of Times This Link Is Clicked?
  10. Click Update
That should do ya!

Thank you very much, Michael.  This really did the trick -  I really appreciate your help!

Best to you,

This was exactly what I was looking for too, but I can't seem to get it to work with a Dropdown list.  Does anyone else have that issue or know of a work-around?

I just tried it and it seems to work fine. What happens? Make sure you're testing it with a module that isn't on the screen initially. If the anchor (<a name="..."></a>) tag is "visible" in the unscrolled window, the browser won't skip down any.
