What is the safest procedure for upgrade of a DNN - SQL2005 installation.

My DNN is 4.3.5 and I wish to upgrade to 4.6.2.

Do you simply download the upgrade, extract the files and ftp the folder and all new files to the site.

This installtion was originally done remotely using my host providers system, which creates a SQL2005 - root based DNN install.

What is the probability of this procedure making my DNN unusable.

Will all the folders I have created within the system remain unchanged yet accessible post upgrade.

Thankyou

Aaron
