How does the entire htmlproviders folder that holds the fck editor folder get totally blown away? I went to my site early in the day and kept getting 404 errors where the fck editor should be on the page. When I selected plain text editor everything worked fine. When I got home I logged into the server I noticed the fck folder was simply gone! I coped it back over from a backup and that fixed it. But what/how did that happen? Was I hacked?

AFAIK there is no option to delete a folder via DotNetNuke UI. is there any chance, that another user deleted the folder - either by accident or a n intruder?

No one has access to the server but me. So this is why I am perplexed. If it was done my someone else they did so somehow via the web/hacking the site. Perhaps now that I changed the permissions to where I_USER has read only instead of full this will correct the problem/exploit?

make sure, there are no other options to modify your site, e.g. using server exploits, ftp connections abusing accounts with weak or spyed passwords etc.

The only way to access it is via being on my LAN and remote desktoping in (with proper login/pw). No type of outside access is enabled (blocking incoming FTP, remote desktop, etc. Only allow port 80, email and related ports to the server) so the issue had to come from via the web is my only guess?
