Hi all

I have a module that uses ASP.Net AJAX UpdatePanels.

The module works fine on my development machine but when I try to configure it to work on other machines the update panels do not work. I have set the module to allow partial updates and the web.config file is exactly the same apart from this line:

<add name="RequestFilter" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Compression.RequestFilter.HttpModule,DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Compression" />

I think that is because of different versions of DNN: dev version = 4.05.05  deploy version = 4.05.01. I don't know if this is the cause.

AJAX Extensions are installed on both machines and they are both running XP Pro. System.web.extensions are registered in the GAC.

I have tried to deploy this on 2 different machines now and it doesn't work on either.  Everything is set up identical to the development machine.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know

I think the problem was with version 4.5.1 of DNN. My Dev machine was running 4.5.5 and it worked perfectly whereas the other 2 machines were both running version 4.5.1. After reading this article: http://weblogs.asp.net/christoc/archive/2007/05/29/dotnetnuke-4-5-2-released.aspx  I decided to upgrade to the latest version of DNN and the module worked fine.

Hope this might help someone else out.
