I'm not sure your problem is the same as the one we were having, but after we backed up the database on the production site and restored it to the test site it worked ok.  How you set up your database is important - do not use scripting.

The problem was that the DTS wizard is not compatible with the way that DNN defined their ids on database. When you upload data with DTS after run the scripting for create database, the ids on tables are creating again.

So first, upload the data with DTS, and then run the scripting for create a database. Some ids and relations dosen't be create, but the application run anyway.

DNN team.. please use uniqueidentifier(guid) in your databases ids :).

Best regards.

sorry, but IDs are called IDs becahuse the need to remain the same. switching all IDs to GUIDs has a number of downsides (database growing, readability vanashing)

Yes, you have rigth. But the principal problem today for the dnn developers, it is that the hosting providers dosen´t provides the posibility of backup and restore databases (it´s a permissions problem) ... so, with DTS you can´t create an exactly copy of your dnn database.

Thanks!!
Best regards.
