I myself am not a webperson, and I have winged my way through creating my companies Intranet site.  I am currently running the latest version of DNN.  I have AD authentication working, and my website is going great.  There one thing I have yet been able to figure out that I was hoping someone could enlighten me on.

1.)  I want to use pure forms based authentication, say like Outlook Web access does.  Currently, when my users initially login into the website it pulls up a Windows Authentication box, if they cancel there, close out the browser and go to the website again it pulls up the forms-based authentication site.  Can anyone please tell me why the initial Windows Authentication box is pulling up?   If I disable Integrated Windows Authentication under IIS, it give me an error message on the default page.  I do not want the Windows Authentication box popping up intitally, but would rather it go straight to the forms authentication.

Please help me if you can.  I guess I am just a stickler, but I want their authentication process to always be the same.

Thanks.

Is there no one out there?  Please provide any help on this if you can.  I figured someone else has came across this.  Is this behavior typical?

Thanks.

Are you talking about the username/password alert dialog within IE?  If you want to stop that you will need to enable anonymous access to the website.
