The icon image for the link module is not displaying anymore for some reason??

It was working last time i check and now it just trys and loads it but takes a very long time then finally displays the broken image placeholder.  You can have a look for yourself here http://71.18.111.19/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx
The only thing i can think of that has changed since last time seeing the icons to not seeing the icons at all is changing the links from "dummy URL" links like http://asd to Page links. I tried changing it back to the dummy url but it didnt fix the issue.

Other images (used in the header and buttons) in the same folder are displaying fine so its not a permissions issue. And im 100% sure the image is still there.

  • I reloaded the image
  • double check folder permissions in the folder manager
  • tried a different image

Im using DNN 3.3.7 on windows 2000 server.

This happened on another portal i created so i just got rid of the icons on that one, but I would like the icons on this one to display. Any ideas??

Ok it seems to work on my work pc so it must be a problem with my home PC.

Can anyone confirm that they see the little butterflies in the link module please?

Simon,

    I do see the butterflies. The site however is loading extremely slow. Is there any reason you have not upgraded to 4.6.2 yet? I think the improvements to the ASP.NET 2.0 versions would help your performance.

thanks for confirming.

I hear you on the slow intitial load, i have smart ping doing its thing but it does always seem to help.

And the reason im still using 3.3.7 is because my useless hosting company hasnt installed .net 2 yet because of some issue with their control panel (sounds like a lot of BS to me the lazy pricks :)

I have cleared out all the unused DLL's from the bin folder and have http compression installed, but yeah an upgrade would do the trick.
