Hi,

I was under the impression that if i entered an email address in the 'send to' field of the feedback settings section, that all feedback emails will be sent to this email and not the administrators email.

Is this supposed to work or have i been mislead into thinking this?

Thankyou
Matt.

Matt - you've not been misled. What are you seeing when you put an email address in the send to? Have you checked any of the other fields in the settings? Are you getting the email at all?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.
In the send to box i have entered six-strings@hotmail.com but the email that i receive when i have entered a test feedback entry is from mattfarmer@hotmail.com which is my admin email address.
The other problem is that i am not getting an email to the mattfarmer@hotmail.com address either.

It is very strange i have checked the smtp settings and they are ok, i have also sent a test email and it says that it has sent correctly but i don't receive it.
I am very unsure of what is happening.

Do you have any ideas, as to what could be the problem?   (I have also checked the spam on my email accounts but no joy)

Thanks Matt.

when you say the email you receive is from mattfarmer@hotmail.com, do you mean that it's looking like the email was sent from that address? I'm assuming that address is setup as the admin email address for that portal right?
If you're doing the SMTP test and you never get the email, I would first work to resolve that issue. If the site is hosted locally on your box, do you have SMTP enabled/setup in IIS? Do you see any emails sitting in queue?
Once you can confirm receipts of the test emails, and you're still not getting the emails from the feedback module, I would recommend trying to change one of the email addresses to be from a different domain and seeing whether that makes any difference.

I am having an issue with the Feedback emails as well. Here is my situation. DNN 4.5.5 with latest Feedback version 4.4.1.

I have confirmed that emails are working on this DNN install. Registration emails are working and the SMTP Test email was successfully sent and received.

But the Administrator is not receiving emails when they are sent using the Feedback form. I have the same email address that is used for the Admin account in the Feedback email setting.

I have changed the email address to my address and I received the email. But when I change it back to the Admin's email, she is not receiving it.

I have tried to check the Send Copy box but it will not save the change to this setting. So I cannot see if it will send a copy.

The Notify box is checked. What is that supposed to do?

Currently the Send Email Asynchronously is NOT checked.

Thanks for any feedback for suggestions you could provide on resolving this issue.
