Are you hosting this internally within your company or via an ISP? If your hosting internally, could you check whether there are any logs in the SMTP folder for IIS to indicate what might be happening. I know in the past I've had issues with SMTP where if you have the to and from as the same, it does not get sent - this is not a DotNetNuke issue but something with SMTP in IIS. If you are receiving it when you set it to another address, then it indicates that the issue is not neccessarily with the module itself but might be network related.
When you say, tried to check the Send Copy Box and it will not save, does it throw an error? If you can set one of the setting values, you should be able to set all. Are you seeing any errors in the Event Log related to the SMTP or feedback module?

The Notify Box is a legacy checkbox that doesn't do anything in 4.4.1. It has been removed from 4.4.2.

I am hosting on my own dedicated servers. I have asked the Portal Admin for an alternate email address to test. Awaiting her feedback.

So if I am understanding right, then you cannot set the Feedback module to send the email to the Portal Admin using the same email address.

This does not appear to be very user friendly and is doesn't appear to really be an IIS limitation.

For instance, I have an XMod module that is used to send an email after a visitor completes a form.

The XMod sends FROM the Portal Administrator email and TO the email submitted in the form. So I just completed a form and used the Portal Admin email as the TO.

So I have setup a situation where the FROM and TO email addresses are the same and it went through without issue.

In the case of the Send Copy box, it just does not save the setting. I updated other settings and when I come back they are what I updated them to.

But with Send Copy, I can check it, update and then when I come back it is NOT checked.

Thanks for any other suggestions you have on the Emails not going out.

Hi I'm having the same problem that Mattfarmer. My DNN server is allocated in an external provider that makes Host Server. I need each web page send emails using the email from in many situations (new user email confirmation, emails from forms, etc). This email should be the each portal admin email, or in modules where we can fix the email from, it should be used. At the time I get mail only from the mail administrator Can you help me ? Thanks

please do not revitalize historical threads. open a new one instead. you need to set up the SMTP server properly in host settings and use an adherent admin user email as FROM in sending modules.
