Hey everyone,

    I have recently downloaded the newest version of DNN (v. 4.6.2).  I downloaded the INSTALL.  I have setup my site in IIS and have .NET 2.0.50727.  I followed the video of Mitchel Sellers' site .  I modified the webconfig with my Server info.  Whenever i go to this http://localhost/QWERTYtech/install/install.aspx?mode=install , i get the following error....

 

 

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /QWERTYtech/install/install.aspx

What am I doing wrong???????

Okay,

     I decided to try to view my page from outside my network to see what would happen since I couldn't see it from inside my network.  I got the following error when trying to view it in IE 7.0:

The website declined to show this webpage
 HTTP 403
 
 

Most likely causes:

  • This website requires you to log in.
 

What you can try:
 

Go back to the previous page.

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

You want to make sure that all files are in the proper location, this error indicates that it cannot even find the install/install.aspx file in your directory structure.
