hi .. I have the same problem

try following..

1.use the SQLserver Database-Publishing-Wizard http://www.codeplex.com/sqlhost , pick the DNN database and export ALL teh DNN stuff in a SQL-Script.

2. Use the .sql file to create a new DNN-Database on the new Computer ... for getting access as HOST change manually the Portal-Alias of one portal

3. Copy all Stuff from your old DNN-Installation into the new  DNN-Folder

4. try to run the new installation with the new portal-alias, log in as host and delete all the potals the you don't need

I actually try that for myself.
