Is there any useage type documentation available anywhere for the Reports module? I apologize if I've overlooked it somewhere.

Specifically, I'm looking for information on the import functionality of the module.  Can this be used for uploading data into a table and if so, what would the specs be for the input file?

Thanks so much for any help!

Unfortunately there isn't much documentation, but we're hoping to fix that in the next release. Until then, this fourm is probably the best place to ask questions.

Regarding your question: The Reports Module is a purely read-only module, the Import/Export functionality is for exporting your Query and other Settings for use in a different Reports Module.

Hi all,

Is there any way to display multiple reports from different tables in a single instance of Report module.

Here i am clearing that my requirement is to display current/latest updates in some modules like latest  Forum threads,  latest blog entries , latest events, latest upload in Repository etc. I have to display all the updates with single instance of Reports Module.

Is any way to do this, then please provide me the hint/details about it.

Thanks in advance.

The current version of the module is a simple one-module, one-query system.  If you can figure out a single SQL query which builds one table of output, from your input tables, to display, the module will display it, but it has no built-in system for displaying multiple tables.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your guidence. Can i use what's new module to fullfill my requirement? So that i can reflect my all modules new updates in what's new section.

I have no detailed documentation about whats new module, so that i can enhance it's updates listing functionality. I found that, in this module they use a sql stored procedure'dbo. Whats_NewStuff' to show site updates. and used temporary db tables to reflect the updates from 'dbo.SearchItem' table. I have seen this procedure but i m not able to  understand why they used this table. When we updates in any module ,then entry must be reflected in it's relative tables. Can you / anyone else  give me any idea about this topic?

Thanks for response.
