I have a site that is using SQL 2005 DB.  How can I migate over to a sql 2005 express db?  THe sql 2005 is overkill and limited to 200Megs by my host while I can go to 4 gigs on the sql express db.

you should be able to disconnect database in SQL Server 2000 and - using SQL Server Management Studio Express - connect it to SQL Server 2005

Not sure I understand what you are saying.  I dont have SQL 2000.  I am trying to go from SQL 2005 to SQL 2005 Express.  I do have SQL express management studio though.  How do I connect them and also how do I copy everything over?  Please be detailed.  I dont want to screw this up.

same in SQL 2005. detach database in Management studio, copy database file to new location, reachable from SQL express server and attach it (rightclick on "databases" in server's object tree

Not working.  I get an error saying I can not detach.  I assume this is a permissions issue with my host.  Is there a way to backup/ restore and do it?
