I have intalled the events module to my website and then added it to a page,  at first i get a calendar and am able to go into settings.  When I do so I have tried to follow the instructions from this website as to what to check .

After saving those changes and getting back to page w/ calendar i  click 'add new event'

Then i get the following error, what is happening

Error: Edit Event is currently unavailable.

When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. Hi Amy,

Make sure that your connection string for legacy modules in your web.config file is setup properly.  Some web.config files will come with the connection string commented out like this:

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=*****;Database=*******;UID=*******;PWD=********;"/>-->

Your connection string should look like this:

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules -->
<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=*****;Database=*******;UID=*******;PWD=********;"/>

I did this simple fix and now my events module is working!
