I want to create a custom error page so that my users do NOT see those nasty asp errors. I have been reading up on this and find some confusing information which I'm sure can be cleared up by the resident experts here. I want the customerror page to capture the error detail and email it to the web administrator but the user would either be shown a pretty page that says "Sorry you had to suffer like this." or else they will be immediately redirected to the url that they requested in the first place. The latter option would be an effective way of dealing with these annoying errors that occur whenever the app pool restarts. (Yes I know I need to fix the error problem and I'm working on finding it).

Has anyone done something like this? Ideas? Samples?

thanks!
