hi,

i've activated the windows authentication succesfull in the admin menu. Everything the connection with active directory seems to be OK.
But when i go to: 'mysite/admin/security/windowssignin.aspx'. i get the following error:

 'Error while processing Windows Authentication
Check your IIS settings. Admin/Security/WindowsSignin.aspx should NOT allow anonymous access.'

but anonymous acces is disabled. when i enable and disable it again nothing's changed. so there must be a problem somewhere else.

does someone have an idea?

What version of DNN are you running? How did you disable anonymous access to windowssignin.aspx? Through IIS?

Version 04.05.05

i disable in IIS. by right clicking on 'windowssignin.aspx'  => properties => file security =>Edit Authentication and access control => uncheck Anonymous Login.

Well...those are the right steps and it should clear up the problem.  Did you clear the cache or are you just refreshing the same page after you apply the settings change?  You also might try a stop and restart of IIS.

i've cleared the cache on the pc. tried it on another pc.  stopped and started iis multiple times. even restarted the iis server. but nothing changes the problem.
Mostly when i set anonymous login disable i get the message 'page cannot be found'. when i enable anonymous login, i get the message that it should be disabled to display the page.
